MUCH THE SAME spent most of the previous decade as a staple of the Chicago punk scene and making a name for themselves worldwide. They kept 90’s-style skate punk alive on two albums, Quitters Never Win on Anti-Flag’s own A-F Records, and then on the more musically mature Survive on Nitro Records. Their focus has always been on writing fast and catchy songs that chronicle their struggles with friendships, faith, and failure. During their otherwise successful 2007 European tour the band broke up under the strain of changing dreams and character flaws. In 2015, with a fresh perspective, a still-growing fan base, and a desire to make music together again, the band picked up where they left off and began the process of writing new material.

STRAIGHTLINE was found in the late 90s under the name Softcore and renamed themself shortly after their Demos and before their first Record “No Way Out” in 2005. The Members changed a couple of times after that, til they got their final Line-Up in 2013 with Singer & Guitarist Bart, Drummer Martin, Bassist Dominik and Guitarist Enric. They released 2 more EPs in 2010 (Change of Seasons) and in 2012 (Sourcrowd – An EP only consisting of short Thrash and Crossover songs), released their 2n Full Length “Final Redemption” in 2013 and went on Tour through Eastern Europe as well as Ukraine & Russia. After their EP “Alteration of the Rules” in 2014 they toured the whole European Continent and went to tour Japan in 2015, as well as several Festivals, such as Punk Rock Holiday or Mighty Sounds. Later that Year they supported Satanic Surfers on their whole Latin American tour. Their new Record “Vanishing Values” was released in 2017 via Bird Attack Records in the US, Canada and Europe and they toured Japan again as well as played another amount of Festivals such as Jera on Air or Quimera Fest in Spain. In Early 2018 the Band will tour Australia for the first time and is currently writing their new Record.

Fans von Madball und Agnostic Front dürfte der Name Will Shepler wahrscheinlich geläufig sein. So war dieser von Ende der 80er bis Mitte der 90er Schlagzeuger beider NYHC -Riesen und veröffentlichte die Klassiker wie Set If Off ( Madball ) oder One Voice ( Agnostic Front ) mit. Nachdem es um Will nach seinem Ausstieg bei Madball im Jahr 1997 länger ruhig war, hat er seit ein paar Monaten mit The Take eine neue Band am Start. Mit dieser wird Will demnächst ein Debütalbum über Demons Run Amok Entertainment veröffentlichen.

Die Schweizer Psychobilly-Punkrocker beehren endlich mal wieder die Hansestadt.
